I’m Nhan, co-founder and CEO of Kaby Arena. I’m here to answer anything you’d like to know about the game, about our vision, hopefully by doing so, you guys will join us on this exciting adventure ahead.
A bit about myself, I have a background in competitive gaming with Dota 1. With the release of Dota 2 on Steam and Steam Marketplace, I got into collectibles trading and made quite a bit of money in 2013–2014. However, with Steam, you never truly own the items and P2P trading for profit is trust-based and prohibited by Steam. That’s why when the idea of NFT game came out, it immediately clicked to me. In Kaby Arena, we want to replicate the success of the Steam Marketplace and their Free-to-play model. I believe by combining them with the trending Play-to-Earn model, Kaby Arena will become a pioneer in NFT gaming.

Could you give us a simple description of the Kaby Arena? What is the vision and mission?Nhan Bui :
Kaby Arena is a turn based RPG NFT game that combine F2P & P2E models, completely bypassing the paywall existing in most of the current NFT games.
Our team all coming from the gaming industry so unlike other projects, we focus more about the gaming aspects. Players can choose both casual and competitive routes in Kaby Arena. By going casual, they will complete daily/weekly objectives and receive rewards worthy of their effort. By going competitive, players will assemble a strong team to battle in PvP mode, or participate in tournaments hosted by us. Of course, the reward would be much higher than the former style since competitive players have invested more and risked more.
What are the advantages of Kaby Arena that make it special?Nhan Bui :
Our advantages are of three major points:
- The combination of F2P & P2E. As far as I know, most NFT games require players to invest first to play the game or to start earning. It is a great barrier to casual players. The consequence is that most games have low daily active users. 5k~6k at most. (The exception is Axie Infinity ofc, but it took them 3 years to get to where they are today). We are different, players can start earning right away from the start. With skills & strategy & some luck, they can even earn big by winning tournaments.
- We have a strong foundation as an established Game Studio. Therefore, we can develop Kaby Arena in a swift manner. If you take a look at our roadmap at https://kabyarena.com/roadmap, you can see that we will have a demo by October and the actual game will come out in November which is only 3 months after the IDO. We believe this rapid development of the game will capture the hype of the community and bring a good reputation to our project.
- Competitive oriented gameplay. F2P brings us a broader audience, and competitive gameplay helps us retain them. All successful F2P games have their competitive scenes: FortNite, LoL, CS:GO, Dota 2, etc. By following those giants’ footsteps , we hope to bring success and longevity to Kaby Arena.
Can you explain about the tokenomics and use-cases of $KABY token?Nhan Bui :

Who are Kaby Arena current partners and backers?Nhan Bui :
Our two major partners are DAO Maker and Red Kite, they are also the launchpads for public sale. More details about other backers can be found at kabyarena.com
What are major milestones Kaby Arena achieved so far and what will happen in near future?Nhan Bui :
- At this point, we are delight to announce that we’ve closed the Seed and Private round successfully with reputable VCs with the total of $1.0M raised and the onboarding of two launchpads: Red Kite and DAO Maker. We are finalizing the IDO date in the end this month.

- About the game development, we already have an internal demo version of the game. We will continue working on finalizing details and balancing the game. One of the most time consuming aspect right now is the design & artwork. As you can see from our website & medium articles, the art is gorgeous! We have pride in our design team and we think that is one of our selling points too. From now on until the official launch and even after that, we will continue to expand our team of artists to provide you guys an amazing game!
- About the future milestones, we are looking forward to a successful IDO & first batch of NFT sales. In October, we will launch a demo version for every players to experience the game first hand. The PvE mode will start in November, and PvP mode in December together with a dev workshop to receive feedback from the community.

Loot-boxes are mystery treasure chests that give out a variety of rewards when opened, you may receive items, cosmetics, special effects and even NFT heroes! Staking NFT for loot-boxes is a form of passive income given to players who own our NFT assets.
Any two NFT heroes can be fused. The offspring will inherit some traits from the parent whether it’s the element, attributes or the skills, etc.
Kaby Arena talked about plans to hosting Weekly, Quarterly & Arena tournaments, which categories of people can participate in each of these tournaments? We have 3 kinds of tournaments:
1. Weekly tournament: everyone can participate, 4 similar rank players will be grouped together. The winner receive the prize and the weekly cup
2. Quarterly tournament: Only the holders of the weekly cups can participate. 8 random players will be grouped together. Winner receive prize and the quarterly cup.
3. Annual tournament: Our biggest event of the year. Holders of quarterly cups can participate. In addition top 100 rank players can participate too. Largest prize pool.
Our only concern is the current COVID-19 situation that can prevent offline events.
Fusion also serves as a balancing mechanism for the game

The minting process is straight forward, just one click conversion. The exact amount of tokens needed for conversion is being balanced in our internal demo.

We are inspired by F2P giants such as FortNite, LoL, Dota 2, Summoner Wars, both on gameplay and how their marketplace operate. The difference is in Kaby Arena, the items will be NFT and truly owned by the players.
In PvP mode, players will play against each other. Waging against other players in PvP is optional. Only players will similar setting & rank will be matched together. We will also implement measurements to avoid gambling addiction among players.

How do you plan to spread awareness about your project in different countries where English is not good? Do you have local communities like Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea,.. so they can better understand your project?Nhan Bui :

Who are your potential customers and which markets are you targeting on?Nhan Bui :
We see everybody as potential users, either F2P/ Premium/P2E, or Casual/Competitive.
We want to capture a broader audience than traditional NFT games. That’s why we introduce so many attractive mechanism: Crypto Wars, PvP Waging, Tournaments, NFT renting, etc.
Furthermore, If you have a look at our whitepaper. You can see that we already have 1M MAU from our other games. We want to convert a part of them to Kaby Arena through giveaways campaigns or in-game advertisement.
For Premium players who purchase our NFTs early, we have in game rewards for them and as I have mentioned before, our game will be developed swiftly which will keep them motivated as they can claim their purchase and actually play with them sooner than many existing projects.
Do you have AUDIT certificates, or are you working to AUDIT your project, to make it more secure and reliable???Nhan Bui :
We are currently under the process of auditing. The audit is performed by Certik (https://www.certik.org/).
Do you have any plans to attract non-crypto investors to your project Because it is the success of a project to get more investors who are still not in the crypto world. What are the plans to increase awareness around your in NON-CRYPTO SPACE??Nhan Bui :
First of all, we onboard new gamers for free! Everyone can start playing our game without any investment or any prior knowledge about cryptocurrency.
Secondly, We have many free features to support F2P players: from Renting, Loot-boxes trading to Crypto Wars mechanic which slowly educate players about the crypto market. We will even cover the gas fee for trading activity on our marketplace!
Thirdly, we are a game studio with more than 1M monthly active users spread across our existing games. We develop Kaby Arena with both Gaming & CryptoCurrency perspective. NFT is a means to deliver a vibrant trading experience, not an end by itself.
The 5 types of Heroes — water, fire, wind, light, darkness, only have 4 skills each, can’t a player further modify the strength/skills of his Heroes character at the expense of Kaby tokens? What are the criterias needed to participate in the tournaments that will be organized?Nhan Bui :
To modify the strength, they can level up their heroes. For skills, they can find special items from loot-boxes to upgrade skills. There is another simple and free mechanism call Crypto Wars. If a player predict the crypto market correctly, their heroes will receive a considerable advantages.
Weekly tournaments are open to everyone! For quarterly tournaments, only the winners of weekly tournaments can participate. For annual tournaments, only the winner of quarterly tournaments + top rank 100 players can participate.
